today, i had a little "run-in" with the law. apparently, i was going a wee bit fast on my way back from the airport (you owe me a big, fat dinner CJB) in Romulus. he claims i was going 67 in 45. i say more like 55ish. the conversation went something like this:
"You know why you got pulled over?"
"Because I was, um, going a little fast?"
"Why the hurry, miss?"
"I just dropped my friend off at the airport and I can't wait to get back to writing my dissertation!"
and with that, i got it ticket for being a nerd.
i think it's karma for making fun of ecshelto for driving under the influence of pancakes and having a minor fender (non)bender. my neck still hurts, btw.

oh man, that sucks p! but great story! a friend of mine was pulled over once and started the conversation with "what seems to be the problem officer?" needless to say, he also got a ticket. i personally would let any phd student off scott free. hell, i'd give them a police escort home.
also, thanks to your post title, i now have inner circle's ditty playing over and over AND OVER in my head. agh. although it is better than their "sweat" song...which is also now stuck in my head. AND, to add insult to injury, i'm guessing ecshelto and anne arbor are too young to know either of the songs. let's just say inner circle is no hall and oates.
ecshelto - you should never ever buy a brand new car!
