grits, part deux

2 eggs, 3 pieces of bacon, biscuits, pancakes, chocolate milk, coffee and lastly, but certainly not least... grits!!

that's pretty much the breakfast that i scarfed down after running the crim this weekend, sans any other aars. it was really sad (sniff, sniff).

i don't need you people, though. i have new running friends. me and my new bff running friends went up the night before, expo'd it (where, incidentally, i might have been introduced to a certain smoking hot shoe rep), and had a little slumber party at the same hotel, ran like the wind, and gorged at bob evans afterwards.

but, ah, who am i kidding? it wasn't nearly as fun as having ap and ecshelto in tow.

the race itself went pretty well, but somehow i forgot about all of those hills! i was prepared for the hills at mile 5 but it was the other little ones throughout the race that probably gave me more trouble. all the while, i kept thinking "how in the hell am i going to run a marathon?"

i think i'll run one more race before the big M (and before the big D) - i've decided it'll be good mental preparation. anyone care to join me (um, i'm talking to you, ec!) ??
